These are the amazing instructors at The Gym! We go above and beyond for each group fitness class and for every single member of our gym. We are here to improve people's lives one jump squat at a time.


Sharanda Johnson

Group Fitness Instructor

I am married and mother of two busy kids (ages 10 and 17). I joined The Gym in 2009 and became a Les Mills BodyStep instructor in 2014. In Dec. 2016, I trained for Les Mills Grit, where I tore my ACL following my presentation of tracks in a plyometric landing. This has been the longest journey of my life. I have fully recovered and I am back in competition prep. I am fortunate to have the mobility and strength to lift, compete, and instruct. I will preach on safe practices while lifting or participating in group fitness. Proper technique is extremely important. Wear your weight belt, soft knees, and light on your feet…

I have a BA in Organizational Development from the University of the Incarnate Word and I am a professional by day for a large oil company. If it was up to me, I would eat, sleep and breathe the gym…but life calls.
